Kew Festival Program 2010

The Kew Festival offers an exciting array of events held over 11 festive days from Friday 12th March to Sunday 21st, 2010.

The Kew Community Festival showcases local community groups and businesses through fun entertainment and activities for all ages and interests and most events are free.

The Street Parade as part of the Family Fun Day begins Saturday 13th 11:30am meeting at Kew Primary Pakington Street.  It showcases floats, clowns, marching bands and numerous community groups marching up High Street and along Cotham Road to Petrie Square, and on to Alexandra Gardens in Kew where the fun continues with a food, craft and information market, rides and free entertainment until 4:30pm.

Plans are in place for a closing concert and fireworks on Saturday 20th March from 6:30pm to 9:00pm celebrating the magnificent setting at Hayes Paddock. Bring a picnic and enjoy the entertainment from singers and performers. Concluding with a spectacular fireworks display. Refreshments available.

Bring the whole family along to enjoy entertainment on the Kew East Community Bank Branch – Bendigo Bank Stage, rides, animal farm, children’s activities, craft, information and food from around the world.

From Kew Primary School in Pakington Street, along High Street to the QPO, then up Cotham Road to Petrie Square and on to Alexandra Gardens where the fun continues at the Family Fun Day with stalls and entertainment. Experience the sights and sounds of this vibrant community street parade featuring local schools, kindergartens, brass bands, entertainers, scouts and other local organisations.
